Join us on this exciting tour where we'll explore a town that stands out from the traditional Paisa towns. This prosperous Colombian town owes its wealth to gold mining, and offers a unique experience unlike any other, since its the only colonial town and also, the first capital of Antioquia for a long time, before Medellín.
To get there, we'll embark on a scenic 50 minutes drive through the magnificent Andean mountains, starting from the height of 4500 feet in Medellin, ascending to over 7000 feet before descending to 1200 feet. As we journey, we'll visit San Sebastian de Palmitas, a minuiture town embedded on the top of the mountain with breathtaking views, we'll also encounter varying climates as we change altituds, adding to the adventure.
We'll visit the historic Center of Santa Fe of Antioquia, walking through its main streets, churches and plazas, enjoying typical snacks as we venture through and of course, take in the famous West Bridge, important icon of Antioquia's prosperity, crossing the second biggest river in Colombia, the Cauca river.
