1) After being picked up from your place in comfortable and private transportation, we’ll head to the enchanting east side of Medellín. Our route will take us through the longest tunnel in South America, offering a unique experience as we make our way to one of the most picturesque regions in Antioquia.

We’ll witness a mesmerizing transformation in the landscape. The bustling cityscape will gradually give way to charming farms nestled amidst the grandeur of the Andes mountains, this transition is truly breathtaking, immersing us in a world that feels entirely different.

Our first stop will be Alto del Chocho, a typical restaurant conveniently located along the road, approximately 1 hour away from Medellín. Surrounded by natural splendor and stunning vistas, this establishment is renowned for its mouthwatering “Pan de quesos.” It’s an absolute must-visit spot, providing an ideal opportunity to stretch our legs and indulge in the delectable pan de queso.

2) Our next stop is truly one-of-a-kind and shrouded in mystery, the magnificent El Peñol Rock, a towering formation that reaches an impressive height of 700 feet. This natural wonder has held immense significance for local tribes spanning thousands of years, adding an air of enchantment to its allure.

For the adventurous souls among us, there is an opportunity to conquer the 740 stairs leading to the top, an awe-inspiring panorama of the surrounding landscapes awaits you, offering breathtaking views that will leave you spellbound.

If climbing the rock isn’t your cup of tea, no sweat! You can still enjoy the beauty of El Peñol Rock from the base, where magnificent views of the reservoir and mountains unfold before your eyes. You can also take time to explore the charming souvenir shops, or simply unwind at one of the many delightful spots and restaurants that offer refreshing beverages alongside stunning vistas. There’s something for everyone to savor at this extraordinary location.

3) Our final destination, the magical and colorful Guatapé Town! Guatapé’s charm is evident in every corner, with houses, balconies, and parks adorned in vivid hues. The cobblestone streets, intricate ZOCALOS, and captivating staircases further add to the town’s sense of wonder.

To fully immerse ourselves, we will embark on a delightful 20-30 minute walk through its charming neighborhoods. As we meander along hidden alleys, explore colorful plazas, and pass by traditional homes, we will be captivated by the town’s beauty, we’ll absorb not only the stunning scenery but also the proud culture that defines this extraordinary place.

After our enjoyable walk, we will find a cozy spot at the Zocalo Plaza to relax and unwind, take a moment to sip a cup of coffee or a refreshing beverage while we soak up the ambiance. As we engage in people-watching and embrace the simplicity of life, we will feel a true connection with the local way of living, just like the friendly locals do.
