We’ll journey to the enchanting east side of Medellín, heading to the picturesque town of La Ceja, “The Eyebrow.” Nestled in the heart of Antioquia, this charming town has preserved its traditional lifestyle, offering a genuine glimpse into the region’s rich culture. Colonized by Europeans, La Ceja is a vibrant blend of customs and traditions, providing a unique and authentic experience away from the hustle of modern urban life.
After exploring the quaint square of La Ceja, we’ll continue our scenic drive through the breathtaking countryside, surrounded by the stunning landscapes of the Andes mountains. Our next stop is the highlight of the day—a thrilling adventure you won’t forget! Prepare for an adrenaline rush as we soar on Colombia’s highest and longest zipline, stretching 1,000 feet high and 2,200 feet long. As you glide through the air, you’ll be treated to a spectacular view of up to five cascading waterfalls below, unfolding one after the other as you cross to the other side of the mountain.
Once we land, we’ll embark on an exhilarating trek to the most stunning waterfall of them all, the magnificent Jump of the Ox. The trek down the mountain takes us along off-road paths, where you’ll hold onto trees, branches, and steps carved into the trail to guide you down. At the base of the waterfall, you’ll experience its full power up close, with opportunities for incredible photos and a chance to feel the refreshing mist on your skin. For those seeking an extra challenge, the climb back up can be done via the Via Ferrata trail—a thrilling ascent that lets you scale alongside the waterfall itself. (Add On)
After all the excitement, we’ll unwind at a cozy floating bar with a view of the lush green mountain range, where you can enjoy a delicious cup of coffee or a refreshing beverage while soaking in the incredible experience we just had. Lunch is also available here for those looking to savor some local flavors.
*Please note: This activity is best suited for participants under 100 kg due to the zipline weight limit and requires an active lifestyle, as the trek to the waterfall involves a 35-40 minute descent and climb. The effort is well worth it for this once-in-a-lifetime adventure!
