Tejo is a traditional Colombian sport that has indigenous roots and a long history in the country. It is believed to have been played by the tribes in the Andean region long before the arrival of the Spanish colonizers.

The game involves throwing metal discs, called tejos, at a target located at a distance. The target is a metal ring set into a clay-filled box, and the objective is to land the tejo inside the ring or to hit the gunpowder-filled target, causing a small explosion and some points!!

On this tour we’ll experience Colombia’s national game, TEJO, in all its explosive glory.

We’ll take you on a journey to explore a charming city in the southern part of Medellín, where you’ll discover the authenticity of local Colombian life. Along the way, we’ll treat you to some local snacks that will tantalize your taste buds. But the real highlight of the tour is the Tejo game, where you’ll test your skills having some drinks while we play!

Start Time

10:00am - Hotel pick up

We'll start our tour heading to the south of Medellín, to a City called Envigado, where we find our Tejo Field.

Envigado City

We'll have a short drive around the city checking out its main square and streets, ending up close to the city's stadium, where we'll have our unique Tejo experience.

Tejo Field

We'll start warming up with some drinks before we start throwing our Tejo, since the traditional way of playing, is drinking some beers and having fun exploding things.

Finish time

Hotel 1:00pm (approx)

We'll play for approximately 2 hours, if you wish to add on another of our half day tours, feel free to talk to us.
