Every December, Alumbrados de Medellín transforms the city into a shimmering wonderland. For one special season, Medellín’s streets, riversides, parks and avenues illuminate with millions of lights, festive decorations, and local flavor — creating an unforgettable holiday experience.
Our private Christmas Lights Tour takes you on a relaxed night-ride with private transport and a bilingual guide who knows the best illuminated corners of the city. We drive you through iconic festive hotspots such as riverside displays along the Medellín River, decorated parks and plazas, and the glowing avenues of central Medellín. Stops along the way allow you to stroll, take photos, taste local snacks, and feel the city’s holiday spirit without worrying about traffic or logistics.
You don’t need to guess where to go — we plan the route based on current installations, traffic conditions, and the most photogenic spots of the night. Comfortable, flexible, and perfect if you want to enjoy the lights with no stress.

Light rain usually doesn’t cancel the tour. The route is designed to adapt when needed. (As with most light-display tours — weather risks are low; we recommend a light raincoat just in case.)
Holiday season is busy indeed. We arrange private transport to avoid hassles; during walking, keep an eye on your belongings. Our guide keeps group together and avoids risky zones. Medellín’s Alumbrados zones are generally safe at night.
Comfortable clothes, closed shoes, light jacket (it can get chilly at night), camera or phone for photos, and maybe a small bag or backpack for snacks.
