    This historical town is known for being the first place in Colombia to liberate a group of African slaves in 1757 and it's also known for its beautiful wooden architecture and local talent of generations working the furniture, wood and leather.


  • For an extra 15 USD per person, we get to visit a town known for making the best deserts of Antioquia, San Antonio de Pereira.

Our adventure begins driving out through the imposing Andes mountains, passing by beautiful and diverse landscapes, farming fields, white colors trees, different climates and scenery, until we get to El Retiro Town, a place filled with rustic wooden buildings and vibrant colors that will transport you to a world of traditional Colombian culture. As we stroll through the town’s main streets and plazas, you’ll have the opportunity to soak up the local atmosphere and witness the authentic charm of this hidden gem.

To add to your delightful journey, we will treat you to some delicious typical snacks at El Retiro Town square.

But the excitement doesn’t end there! We’ll be completely captivated by Tequendamita waterfall, a true marvel nestled around natural landscapes and majestic mountains just a few minutes away from the town.

Start Time

9:00am - Hotel pick up

We'll start heading to the east side of Medellín, crossing the Andes mountains, all the way up, everytime a better and wider view of Medellín city, expanding

Las Palmas Viewpoint

We'll experience a real birdseye view of the city, one of our best "miradores", viewpoints in Medellín, where locals go to hang out in the day but mostly at night, when it gets colder and the city turns on like a christmas tree, simply amazing.

El Retiro Town

One of the most beautiful towns in Antioquia, just outside of Medellín, known for its wooden architecture, colorful homes, gorgeous landscapes, white trees, high altitud weather and friendly locals. We'll walk through its main streets and relax at the Plaza.

Tequendamita Waterfall

Named after Tequendama waterfall in Bogotá, this gorgeous fall is just a few minutes away from El Retiro town, it's surrounded by natural beauty and lush nature that will re-connect us with our inner selves and the infinite and abundant source we all come from.

Finish Time

1:00pm (approx) - Hotel

We can add another little town called San Antonio de Pereira for an 15 USD per person, just +15 minutes away from Tequendamita, known for making the best deserts of all Antioquia's region!
